Ty put 17 songs on country’s Top 40 charts beginning in 1995, with his No. 1 single, “What Matters Most”. His other No. 1 songs were “Living in the Moment” and “It Must Be Love”. His four other Top Ten songs were I Want My Goodbye Back," "Loved Too Much," "A Man Holding On (To a Woman Letting Go)" and "Hands of a Working Man."
His nine albums include “This is Ty Herndon: Greatest Hits, and a Christmas album titled “A Ty Herndon Christmas.”

Country band, Ricochet will be taking the stage before Herndon. Band members are Heath Wright, Greg Cook, Dwayne Dupuy and Troy Nelson. They have shows scheduled from Las Vegas, Nev., to Williamstown, N.C. You can check their tour schedule, and learn more about the band at http://www.ricochetonline.com.
The group had a number of Top 40 singles, including “Daddy’s Money,” which made it to the No. 1 spot on the country charts. “What Do I Know” climbed to No. 5. The group released five albums, from 1996 to 2008, the last being “Ricochet Reloaded: Hits/Plus”.
The show at UCHS begins at 6 p.m., with local entertainer Jessica Nixon. In addition to representing northeast Tennessee in the Miss Tennessee Pageant, Nixon has performed at many local events, including the Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks in Johnson City and Bristol’s Rhythm and Roots. She has also been working in a recording studio in Nashville, and writing new music.
The event is being sponsored by our local Erwin radio station, WEMB, Hometown IGA supermarkets, and the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce.
