Frankie BallardFrankie Ballard is scheduled for the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn., this August. My favorite Frankie song is “Tell Me You Get Lonely.” And if that isn’t enough to make me a fan, I became more of a fan when I read his cute little quote about Valentine’s day. What he said was,  "I don’t care much for Valentine’s Day… can I just make a donation to Hallmark or something? Does that get me off the hook?"  Cute, Frankie.

Frankie CDYesterday, Frankie returned to his home state of Michigan, to start a week long celebration of the release of his debut, self-titled CD, Frankie Ballard. “Tell me You Get Lonely,” and “A Buncha Girls,” you will also find “Single Again,” “Place to Lay Your Head,” “Get On Down the Road,” “Sober Me Up,” “Rescue Me,” and “Grandpa’s Farm” on the new CD.

I’ve never had a chance to see Frankie live before, so am looking forward to the August 23rd show. Between now and then, Frankie is out on tour opening for Taylor Swift. He’s also got a lot of his own dates lined up between now and August. You can check his web site for the full list of scheduled shows.

More later!
