WXBQ car 002Yesterday afternoon I went to a Media Day event at The Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tenn. This is the 85th annual event, and the theme is “85 Years of Memories.” This fair is the second largest in the state, and is one of the longest running fairs in the country. During its six-day run, more than 200,000 visitors come to the fairgrounds to see the animals, ride the rides, eat the great fair food, and of course, check out the entertainment on the mail stage.

The WXBQ Rabbit was on hand to help announce this year’s Main Stage entertainers. So for everyone who has been waiting, and for those of us who knew who was tentative – but not who was confirmed. Here are the artists you will be seeing at this year’s Appalachian Fair.

There you go. I’ll be there for every show, hope to see all of you there, too. Tickets go on sale Saturday morning, July 30, at the fair office. Remember, you can see the show with your gate admission to the fair (only $8.00), but if you want a reserved ticket for any of the shows, you don’t want to wait too long to buy them, to make sure you get the best seat possible.

Another hot day on tap for us here in Northeast Tennessee – and probably some rain, too. I’m headed to the office. I’ll talk to you all soon!
