United States Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) took time away from fighting intellectual property piracy issues Wednesday morning (June 29) to swing by Darius Rucker’s taping of CBS’ The Early Show in New York outside CBS Studios. Rucker was honored to take some time away from taping the summer concert series to visit with Congressman Blackburn, who champions music artist rights on Capitol Hill and has earned a special reputation in Music City for her strong ties to the recording industry and the songwriters and performers who make it great.
Blackburn represents Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District.
Rucker’s performance on The Early Show will air July 6th on CBS.
Darius will be in Danville, Va., on July 2, for a show at Carrington Pavilion. On July 5, he takes the stage at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado. His July 7 show brings him back to Virginia, where he will be in Glen Allen, for a show at Innsbrook Pavilion. You can keep up with his schedule on his web site.
I need to get ready to head to the office. Then, like most of us, I’m looking forward to a three day weekend.I will talk to you all soon.
