Rutledge 139The Carter Twins are doing things a little bit differently these days. We’ve still got Josh on vocals and guitar, and Zach on vocals and keyboard, but something is different now. They haven’t changed their music, they haven’t changed their style, they are still busy writing and doing shows, but one thing that has changed is their name. Josh and Zach Carter are now Kingston.

Rutledge 254 Rutledge 236

Like most of us, you probably remember this duo form their debut single, “Heart Like Memphis”. It was a good song that for reasons I don’t understand, never even made it into the Top 40. The video was cute, and you can still at CMT’s web site

I had an opportunity to see these two at the Rutledge in Nashville in February 2010, when they were part of a benefit show for City of Hope. They  did a great set, and spent a lot of time with their fans.

For the record, I kinda liked the name Carter Twins.  Here’s what the kids said about the name change.

Josh and Zach explain the new name.

You can follow Kingston on Twitter @wearekingston, and check out their facebook page, too.

I will chat with you all later – have to get ready to head to the office!
