Jessica Nixon 03I was out of the office much of the day. That nature of the business. Anyway, in addition to all of the newspaper stuff I had to do, I also had a doctor appointment, and it was drizzling all day, and we didn’t have much sun at all – and I didn’t want to be out running around. So, where is all this going?  It’s going here – to the bright spot in my very long, very busy day.

And that’s what I’m going to share with all of you tonight. That little something was a Demo CD,  by up-and-coming country artist Jessica Nixon, and produced by Linda Davis (yes, that Linda Davis. Duet partner with Reba McEntire a few years back; country singer/songwriter, member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame, and the mother of Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott).

The only thing I found wrong with this demo CD was that it only gave me four songs to listen to – and listen I did! Over and over. I wondered if I might be anoying anyone at the office with the repetition, but I didn’t hear anyone complaining. The four songs she has on this demo are “It’s My Turn Now,” “Drive,” “Be Careful What You Wish For,” and “God Only Knows.” You can hear these songs at Reverbnation, by clicking here.

Listen to the songs, and let me know which is your favorite. Which one would you think is a good debut single for Jessica/ I have mine picked out, so I’d really like to know what all of you think. Feel free to put a comment below – or shoot me an e-mail. Either way will work.

More later!
