I’m not sure why “Raymond” never got much airplay on our local radio stations. It’s a song that so many people can relate to. And it’s a song that definitely raised awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease, and for our elderly living in nursing homes. It was not just a song. It was a good story. I have a feeling some of the program directors might have thought it was a little too sad, or maybe too slow to keep their audience from changing the channel when the song started. I disagree. I think the song was more than deserving of a spot on every radio station’s play list.
I got to see Brett in Nashville one year. I think it was one of the benefits I went to for City of Hope. I’m sorry it was just once, and I have Brett on my list of ‘people I want to see in concert again.” I got a press release about Brett this morning, and wanted to share it with all of you…..
Brett Eldredge held a special performance at 12th & Porter in Nashville as part of his upcoming web series “Take Me Home Tonight.” In attendance was one lucky couple, Rachel Johnson and Jerad Yenni, that matchmaker, Eldredge, set up himself. The couple received a VIP date that began at Arrington Vineyards, followed by a dance class at Studio Goddess and ended with an exclusive performance by Eldredge at 12th & Porter. Brett’s performance, and the couple’s date, will air on The Warner Sound (Warner Music’s premium YouTube Channel) - Youtube.com/TheWarnerSound.
I have company in from out of town, so I need to get my day started. I think we’re going to Bristol today. I will be back with more for all of you later!
