Elvis

How big of an Elvis Presley fan would you have to be to even want to think about doing this. How would you like to be buried in Elvis’ crypt? Or perhaps you have a loved one you would like to have buried there. If that’s the case, you’ve got your chance. (This is even a bit too creepy for me).

GracelandWe all know that Elvis died on Aug. 16, 1977. At that time, he body was placed inside a granite and marble mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis. He was actually buried next to him mother, Gladys.  Two months after Elvis died they were moved to a grave on the grounds of Graceland.

The original crypt has been empty ever since. And now, it’s for sale! Would you like to bid on it? Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien will be selling the crypt to the highest bidder as a part of his “Music Icons” auction, to be held next month. You don’t just get the crypt either. The highest bidder will get th crypt, opening and closing of the vault for burial, a memorialization inscription and use of a chapel for the committal service. You don’t get transportation to Memphis, and funeral home charges aren’t included. But there’s still a lot there, if you’re interested. The auction will begin on June 23, 2012.

Any takers out there? As for me, I don’t believe this is something I would bid on, even if I could afford it.

Back later!
