I love Chris Young. I’ve seen him many times, met him many times, and think he’s a fantastic artist! So, if I were going to go to Nashville during CMA Music Fest, I would hope to get to see Chris Young – there, in Nashville, at a Fan Club Party, perhaps. And, as you might guess, Chris was there to do just that. But, he also had shows scheduled for part of the week, and those were going to be in Indianapolis, Chicago and Detroit. Being an artist who cares about his fans, Chris had a ‘virtual autograph session.’ Here’s the press release about it.
After meeting and greeting with fans for more than nine hours on Thursday (6/7) at CMA Music Festival between signings in Fan Fair Hall and the full capacity crowd at his fan club party, RCA Recording Artist Chris Young had to leave home to play a full weekend of shows including stops in Indianapolis, Chicago and Detroit. Despite the miles between them, the Grammy-nominated singer still wanted to do more to show his appreciation over the four-day festival to the people who have loyally supported his music and career.
While waiting to take the stage for Miranda Lambert’s “On Fire” tour in Indianapolis on Friday (6/8), Young employed Netwave Technology so that he could spend another hour hosting a virtual meet & greet with his fans back in Nashville. As fans waited in line at Young’s booth at CMA Music Festival, the singer video chatted with each person individually and signed a digital photo. He later took to twitter and announced a surprise Skype session with CMA Music Festival attendees for Saturday (6/9) from Chicago’s Wrigley Field, where later than night he played for an estimated 35,000 country music fans.
