It’s been a little while since I’ve done anything about anyone new. And this seems like the right time. The new artist is Bryan Cole. He’s new to me, but probably not to a lot of you. I have been following him on Twitter for a while, but really didn’t give the attention to his web site, and to his music, that I should have.
Tonight, I listened to “Love Doesn’t Live Here,” which is his current single, and a song he has featured on his web site. I really like it. So I thought it was time I tell you all a little about Bryan, and then – like always – I’ll invite you to tell me what you think of this up and coming country artist. You can listen to his new single by clicking here. I also listened to “It All Comes Back to Me,” from his Wide Open Road CD, and I think that is my favorite of his songs (so far). But, it didn’t take me too long to find a lot of good things to say about “You Know Why,” and “Mercy of You.” If you’ve been reading Country’s Chatter very often over the past 4-1/2 years, you know I like country music. And when I found Bryan Cole – I found country music.
I’ll be the first one to admit that, as much as I love country music, I don’t know a lot about the many, many charts out there – but I know they are watched, by fans, radio stations, and the artists themselves. And, I know it has to be exciting to see your song at the top of any one of these charts. That’s what Bryan was looking at back in December, 2011, when Pride and The Passion took the No. 1 spot on NMW’s chart.
All of the picAll of the pictures in this post were taken from Bryan’s facebook page, and from his web site. Since I have not have the pleasure of seeing him live, yet – I didn’t have any of my own photos to include – so thanks, Bryan – for sharing your pictures with me and my readers.
Here’s a little piece of his bio, which you will find on his web site: Bryan Cole may not have been “born in the backwoods” as his debut single, “I’m Comin’ Home” suggests, but that doesn’t mean that this amazing new country artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a city-slicker by any means. Passed down by three generations of family before him, you might say that “country” runs long and deep in Bryan’s veins; just as the three rivers of his beloved hometown run into the waters of the Mississippi. By embracing the traditions of yesteryears’ legendary performers, while honing his own God-given vocal and guitar-playing abilities, Bryan Cole has cultivated a sound that is nothing short of INCREDIBLE.
