They call them the Hardest Working Band in Nashville for a reason. Their name is Ricochet. Their new CD is titled “15 Years and Counting”. Their music is timeless. And, you will not find a more talented band anywhere in Nashville, or anywhere outside of Nashville for that matter. You probably remember them most for “Daddy’s Money.” I remember them most for “What Do I Know.” That song was the first Top Ten single for this band, back in 1995. I loved the song then, and I love the song now. The song would literally fit into the play list of any Top 40 Country Radio Station today!
Now, if there’s anyone out there who could have been in the audience at the Ricochet show in Erwin, Tenn., last night – but for whatever reason didn’t go. You really have no idea what you missed. The performance was entertainment at its absolute best! They gave us the music we remember, the music we love, some music that we’d never heard Ricochet do before – and of course included sax, trumpet, and drums…lots of drums. It was a show the audience hoped would never end, and was sad knowing that like all good things – an end was inevitable.
This was the band’s second concert in Erwin, Tenn. Since I was part of that audience last year, I was anxious to see them again. And, I told everyone about the show! If you missed the write-up and photos that went up after they were here in 2011, you can check that article by clicking here. Everything I said about the band and the show last year is still true. And if anyone out there has still not managed to get to a Ricochet concert, please put it on your ‘to do’ list. You will not be disappointed. Ricochet has been singing the national anthem at sporting events for a long time, and has even included it on the new CD. When you hear it, you will know why they are the only people to ever put the national anthem on the charts.
Thanks so much to Heath, Greg, Justin, Duane and Chris for bringing your this great show to Erwin, Tennessee! Now – here are a few photos from last night’ performance. They are real professionals, and they remember who their fans are! Can’t thank them enough for hanging around after the show, signing autographs, and posing for pictures with fans.
