JoeyRoryI am a huge Joey + Rory fan who has no idea what RFD-TV is. All I know for sure is that my cable company does not offer it. I wish they did. The more I hear about what’s available on this network makes me want to run out and find a cable company, satellite, or Dish or something that has it.

The newest addition to their line up, which includes shows like The Marty Stuart Show, The Porter Wagoner Show, Crook and Chase, and Roy Rogers Happy Trailers Theater, is The Joey + Rory Show.

You have seen a lot on Country’s Chatter about Joey + Rory.  They sing what I consider to be some of the best country music around.  And I have a feeling any of you who can watch RFD-TV are going to enjoy their show.

TV promoThe following is an e-mail that came from Joey + Rory, about their new show.

Filmed entirely at our farm and in our community of Pottsville, Tennessee, The Joey+Rory Show invites your family into ours with a mix of:

– live performances and songs from our brand-new album His and Hers
– fun recipes and stories from Joey and Marcy (my sister) in a cooking segment from our family-owned café
– behind-the-scenes glimpses into our daily lives with "Farm To Fame" segments
– intimate acoustic performances with just us and a guitar
– hillbilly wit and wisdom from our favorite neighbor Wynn Varble
– stories behind the songs that we sing
– performances by some of our favorite singers and songwriters who inspire us
– and lots more!

You might be asking, "why are y’all doing a tv show…I heard you don’t even have a tv?"  Well, that’s true… but one of the reasons we don’t have a tv is because we find it harder and harder to find good family programs to watch any more.  But rather than just sit around and complain about it, we’re trying to create some good programming that everyone can enjoy.  075_75

Our show is intentionally an old-school-meets-new-school kind of variety show, and pays tribute to variety shows from the past and classic television series like The Honeymooners and The Andy Griffith Show, even going so far as to include snippets of both in the show opener.  Knowing that major radio airplay for traditional country music artists like us on an independent record label is tough to come by these days… we converted a big barn at our farm into a fully working sound-stage where we write, film, edit and deliver the entire series with just the help of a small team of friends/collaborators collectively calling ourselves Milkhouse Media.

046_46This is what the folks down at RFD have said about our new show: "RFD-TV is very proud to be able to bring our viewers such a wonderful program with great music, entertainment and clearly the love you see on the screen between Joey+Rory,” said Kelly Kantz, RFD-TV GM/SVP of Program Sales. “A real quality program that will make you smile from the inside!"

060_60Once again, our new series The Joey+Rory Show is scheduled to air every Friday at 9 pm on RFD-TV…starting tonight.  Each episode will re-air Saturdays at 7:00 am and Mondays at 2:00 pm and midnight. All times Eastern.   To find out if your cable provider carries RFD-TV or to request it… click here.

073_73Thanks for taking the time to read all this.  We’re super excited about it!   Also… there’s a couple other fun things to tell you about too (see below!).    We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and staying cool.  It’s sure been a hot one here at home!

That’s all for now. Back with more later! Hope you all had a great weekend!
