Would Brad Paisley make a good American Idol judge?
Just about everyone who watches American Idol has already heard that Mariah Carey was named to the judging team on AI, at the tune of $18 million for the season. (They should have asked me, I would have done it for $4 million). Now, it seems Brad Paisley is being looked at by the American Idol folks as the next person to fill the vacant spot at the judges’ table.
It’s being reported that ‘adding a country veteran to the panel makes sense, given the fact that several Idol alums paved their way via country music, including Carrie Underwood Scotty McCreery, Kellie Pickler and Lauren Alaina. Not to mention the fact that Paisley has performed on the show and has worked with Idol alums outside of the singing competition. He and Underwood have co-hosted the CMA Awards for four years, and topped the country charts with their duet, “Remind Me.” In addition, Paisley invited McCreery to join him on your.’ [Source]
They left a few out when listing AI alums — I think we all remember that Casey James and Bucky Covington are also American Idol alums. And, two of my favorites, I might add.
