Lauren Alaina cancels weekend shows, doctors order vocal rest
There are a lot of people here in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia who are closely following this story. Lauren Alaina has been put on vocal rest by her doctors, and had to cancel weekend shows in Cincinnati and Detroit. She was to open for Sugarland at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on Aug. 3, and at DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Mich., on Aug. 4.
The reason we’re all following the story – we’ve all got tickets to see Lauren on our Appalachian Fair stage on Thursday night, Aug. 23. That’s a lont way off, and hopefully she’ll be as good as new by then, but we’ll keep watching – and waiting for definite word that she will be fine by then.
Vonda Shepard will take the stage For the Sugarland shows this weekend, in Lauren’s absence.
More later,
Country
