Rascal Flatts to open new restaurant chain
Looks like Gary, Jay and Joe Don are doing a little expanding – but their new ideas and plans don’t have much to do with their music. The group has decided to open a restaurant. I don’t know much about it, but I can only guess it will be pretty much like Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar (and Grill). Like Toby, Rascal Flatts are planning a restaurant chain, with businesses located in Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Raleigh, NC; Minneapolis, Minn. and Long Island, NY, in 2013, and Charlotte, NC; Tampa, Fla.; Boston, Mass. and Madison, Wisc. set to open the following year.
Reports are telling us that the restaurant will be 14,000 sq. ft. with a state of the art soundstage, and both an indoor and outdoor bar and retail area. Having partnered with Philip Lama and Eric Soe to develop the restaurant chain, they are planning to open its first location in Phoenix next year and will launch 10 other locations around the country by 2014.
Good luck with the new business, Flatts. I don’t know if we need another restaurant chain. But I do hope that our economy will be able to support this adventure, and I hope it will bring a lot of jobs to the areas where the new restaurants will be opening.
I’ll be back later with more!
