Any of us who thought Trace Adkins was just a tall, handsome, sexy, very talented singer – found out differently when he appeared on the seventh season of NBC’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’ That was back in 2008. Trace’s daughter Brianna has a severe peanut allergy.
Piers won that season, but it’s not over for Trace, who will be trying again on Season 13, which premiers in March of 2013. Trace will be joined by actor Stephen Baldwin, who was a teammate the last time he appeared on the show. Other celebrities returning for the new season will include Gary Busey, magician Penn Jillette, rapper Lil Jon, basketball player Dennis Rodman, Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider, actress Marilu Henner, singer La Toya Jackson, actress Claudia Jordan, reality star Omarosa, actress Lisa Rinna and Playboy Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick.

I’m not a huge fan of ‘reality’ television. I’ve never watched Survivor, Big Brother, the Bachelor, Bachelorette, The Mole, Amazing Race…or any of the more than a dozen other reality shows that have come and gone from the airwaves. I do, however, watch American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. And, even though Trace says he will not do any of those other shows, I would kind of like to see him on Dancing with the Stars. I think he’d be really good at it. I am glad that he is willing to do shows that are going to benefit someone or an organization such as Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network. It’s great when entertainers are willing to do something they don’t have to do, just because it will benefit someone else.
Other country artists who have appeared on Celebrity Apprentice are Clint Black and John Rich. John, in fact, was the winner of Season 11, raising more than $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
