Eric Grunderson and Emily Hagar were married in a private ceremony at Hazel Path Mansion in Henderson, Tenn., on Saturday, April 3, 2010. There were only 150 guests in attendance at the sunset ceremony. But I have a feeling this next step for the couple is going to be an even bigger event.
The ‘even bigger’ event is a new baby for the couple. Eric made the announcement to Taste of Country. The couple is expecting their first child on May 18,, 2013.
Gunderson is currently 13 weeks pregnant and “loving every minute of it,” she reveals exclusively to Taste of Country. “I’m beyond excited to share another journey through life with my best friend and husband,” she gushes. “I pray not only for a healthy baby, but for a baby that is as talented in music as his sweet and handsome father!”
“I’m pretty excited,” adds the proud father-to-be, who couldn’t wait to share the news with Taste of Country. “I’ve wanted to be a father forever, and now I feel like we’re in a place in our career where it won’t be the most nerve-wracking thing ever. I feel like I can support a family now. It will be good. We’re really excited.” [Source]
It will be a few weeks before the couple find out the sex of their new baby. But as you might expect, they are just hoping for a healthy baby. But Eric did admit that he was the oldest in his family, and he always thought it was cool that his sister had an older brother. He said he thinks he would like to have a boy first and then a little girl.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Love and Theft in concert a few times, they put on an awesome show. You can read about the last time I saw them by clicking here.
Congratulations, Emily and Eric.
