There are a number of country music artists who I don’t think are getting the recognition they deserve. One of those people is Craig Campbell. I’ve been a fan since ‘Family Man’ first hit radio. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the song ‘Fish,’ but Craig pulled me right back in with ‘When I Get It’. And he’s done it again, with “Outta My Head.” In fact, I’d go so far as to say I love this new song of Craig’s. And I really hope I start hearing it on our local country radio station. I think my favorite Craig song is ‘My Little Cowboy.’
I got the following press release about Craig, and wanted to share it with all of you. Especially those of you who are fortunate enough to have GAC available form your cable television provider. I am not, unfortunately. Why Comcast doesn’t offer GAC in this area I have no idea – but they don’t, so I’m going to have to miss this video premiere on Monday night. I do hope all of you get to see it.
I did enjoy seeing Craig doing Red Carpet interviews before Thursday night’s CMA awards. It was a production by The Boot, and it was a LiveStream on the internet. And I think Craig did a great job. Now, here’s the press release.
Go behind the scenes with GAC and country star Craig Campbell as he films the music video for his latest hit song "Outta My Head." The exclusive Behind The Video 30-minute TV special features interviews with cast and crew including director Mason Dixon, and chronicles the crazy sixteen-hour workday in the quaint city of Franklin, TN, just outside of Nashville. The “Outta My Head” official music video will make its broadcast world premiere as part of the special on GAC as the show debuts on Monday, November 5th at 10:30pm ET. Check HERE for the latest schedule and airdates. The video can also be seen online at www.gactv.com.
“Outta My Head” is a high-octane up-tempo track with an evocative lyric that describes the struggle of lost love. Produced by Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) and Matt Rovey and written by Brandon Kinney, Michael Carter, and Cole Swindell, the mesmerizing track showcases Campbell’s rich, warm baritone and expansive range. The single is available for purchase HERE.
ABOUT CRAIG CAMPBELL: After moving from his hometown of Lyons, Georgia to Nashville in 2002 to pursue his country music dreams, American Country Awards nominee Craig Campbell quickly picked up work as a keyboardist in Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd’s bands and was later discovered playing a regular gig at legendary Nashville honky-tonk, The Stage. The singer-songwriter has earned well-deserved praise from the country’s toughest critics for his self-titled debut album, which released in April of 2011. Campbell’s autobiographical lead single, “Family Man” was a top 15 hit followed by “Fish” which has sold a quarter of a million downloads. His current smash “Outta My Head” is the lead single from his sophomore album, set to release early next year.
