Angie Johnson 1We all remember Angie Johnson from the television show The Voice. And if you are like me, there was never any doubt in your mind that this kid was going to make it in the music industry.

Angie JOhnson 3Her ‘About’ section on Facebook tells us that her musical influences include people like Bonnie Raitt, Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Grace Potter, Whitney Houston, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Shania Twain, Crystal Gayle, Dolly Parton, and even Ella Fitzgerald – to name a few. Her professional influences include some of the same folks, and she adds “every single American troop and their family members who both sacrifice for this country.” Awesome, girl! And I love that her Personal influences include Jesus Christ, and her parents…. among others.

Angie Johnson 2Most of my readers have heard me say, “If you want to know whether someone can really sing, ask them to do our National Anthem.” Angie can definitely sing, as you will see in the video below of her singing the anthem at a Seattle Seahawks game.

Great job, Angie!

Busy day, even busier evening planned. I hope to get a lot of your email answered this evening. You’ve been really patient with me! I’ll be back with more soon.
