Country singer/songwriter, James Meadows, from Abingdon, Va., will headline a benefit concert for Jeremiah Denton. A student at John Battle High School in Abingdon, Va., Jeremiah was seriously injured in an auto accident a few weeks ago. He has been hospitalized since the accident, and medical bills are mounting. He may be headed for a hospital in Atlanta, Ga., soon, which will be an added expense for his family.
The event will be held at Sugar Hollow Park on June 22, from 1-10 p.m. In addition to a day of great music, there will be food, door prizes, face painting for the kids, and much more. Organizers are seeking a minimum donation of $5 per person. The event is being sponsored by the City of Bristol Virginia Parks and Rec Department.
Other artists scheduled to perform at this fund raiser include Josh Powers, Alli Epperson, Haynes Crossing and Adam Lester.
There is a lot going on in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia this weekend. Elizabethton has their Covered Bridge Festival with Jamie O’Neil and Jessica Nixon taking the stage on Friday; Saturday has this event, and a fund raiser for Children’s Miracle Network with Brinley Addington. If you have Saturday free and do it, hope you will try to get to at least part of these two fund raisers on Saturday.
Back with more soon!
