Angels and Sammy

Anyone who lives anywhere near Kingsport, Tenn., probably already knows about the spring and summer Twilight Alive Series. A few weeks ago, Confederate Railroad was on Broad Street in Kingsport, bringing their live music to the crowd. In the past, we have had LoCash Cowboys, Jack Ingram, and Brinley Addington, among the many artists to participate in these free concerts.

SammyKershawOn Friday, June 6, Sammy Kershaw is coming to town. There probably isn’t a lot that I can tell any country music fan about Sammy. I’m sure everyone remembers “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Cadillac Style,” “Anywhere But Here,” “Haunted Heart, “Queen of My Double-wide Trailer,” and “National Working Woman’s Holiday.” So, all I have to say about Sammy, is any of you who have not seen one of his live shows, now is your chance to see him free. In a great family-friendly environment in downtown Kingsport, Tenn.

AngelsWhat I really want to tell you about are the Railroad Angels. This duo is made up of sisters, Lexus and Cheridan. They have been singing together forever. Cheridan plays guitar and bass for the duo, and Lexus is learning guitar, and lap steel. These young ladies have performed at many events and festivals. They sang at Wildhorse Saloon, Nashville Palace, Opryland, Six Flags over Georgia, Hardrock Café, and in Nashville.

Angels 6You can visit The Railroad Angels Facebook page, and remember to “Like” the page while you are there. You can listen to some of the music from this duo on Facebook as well.

I hope everyone in the area can make it out to what is going to be a great show. Just bring your lawn chair, and join the fun!

Back with more soon!
