Randy Houser (new)There are some stories I hate writing. Anyone who has been reading Country’s Chatter for the past six years knows that I am a huge Randy Houser fan. I met him for the first time at Winged Deer Park, back in June, 2009, just after “Anything Goes” was released to country radio. Randy was even kind enough to come to Erwin, Tenn., to do a benefit concert for our Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society.

Randy is like my ‘today’s George Strait’ – neither one of them has ever put out a song that I don’t like. And with the last three Randy released reaching number one, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels that way.

Randy Wedding 1It is now being reported that Randy and his wife, Jessa Lee Yantz, have filed for divorce. [Source] They were married in September, 2011, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Randy and Jessa have the most adorable two-year-old son, West. Randy and Jessa have shared photos of West with us on their Facebook pages and through Twitter. And, we all love seeing him. It is being reported that they will have joint custody of their child.

Randy and JessaTMZ is reporting that Randy and Jessa now have a little vacation problem. Seems they had made plans to go to the Bahamas on vacation, and now, even though they have filed for divorce – they both want to go. Randy wants to go alone. He said he needs some time away, and has asked a judge to keep her away from the vacation spot. I’m not going to get into all of that, you can read about that over at TMZ.

Here is Randy’s appearance on David Letterman earlier this week. If you have having trouble seeing the video, please watch it on YouTube. He is such a talented vocalist, as well as writer. I’m sure Randy will be entertaining us for many years to come.

Back with more later!
