Joshua Scott Jones’ highly anticipated solo debut album, The Healing, is now available, just in time for the 2014 CMA Music Festival. As one half of the successful country duo Steel Magnolia, Joshua Scott Jones starts off his solo career with the release of his new album, which already has critics buzzing.
“The Healing runs the gamut of human emotions. There’s fun, sadness, mixed in with optimism and in some cases, regret. But, with each track you get the feeling that Jones has lived each word he’s singing.”. – Chuck Dauphin, Billboard
“Joshua Scott Jones brings soul and flare to country music. Infused with several musical elements that country music fans will enjoy and appreciate.” – Country Music Rocks
“The title track literally brought me to tears just from the sheer power and emotion found in the lyrics.” – Focus on the 615
“The tracks have a lot of honest, raw and pure emotion throughout them.” – Got Country
In preparation of the launch of his new album, Jones traveled to New York City, Orlando, and Nashville to do press for the record, which included The Better Show, The Daily Buzz, Rolling Stone Country, People magazine, Country Weekly, Wilkow!, SiriusXM, FOX News Radio, ARISE 360, Emotional Mojo, Fox News Edge, Fox411, ABC NewsNow, The Hot Zone, GAC Headline Country and more.
"It feels great to be back on the promotional circuit and back on TV,” states Jones during the release of his album. “It’s exciting to know people are tuning in all over the country, listening to my story and hearing this music for the first time. Being such an emotional and personal record, it can be a little scary to share it with so many people. It feels right and the response so far has been overwhelming".
Jones will continued his busy schedule with interviews, appearances and performances set during Nashville’s CMA Fest. Jones appeared at the 2014 CMT Awards, a performance at the Bud Light Stage, located outside Bridgestone Arena. His full schedule for the weekend also included performances on SiriusXM’s The Highway stage, Wildhorse Saloon, AT&T U-verse® Stage and various personal appearances.
