What an awesome Friday we had in Northeast Tennessee. Our July 4 celebration in Johnson City started at 5 p.m., with an entire afternoon and evening of great entertainment, a visit from the WXBQ Rabbit and our favorite on-air personalities, and singers Jon Pardi, Brinley Addington, The Twang Bangers, and Jimbo Whaley and Greebriar. So we had a great lineup including country, bluegrass, a little rock, and a lot of fun!
Haley Lingerfelt sang the National Anthem and Young in America. And of course we had Tributes to the Military, prizes, a lot of food vendors, visiting ‘royalty’ in the form of Miss Tennessee contestants Blakely Bays, Miss Johnson City, and Lexi White, Miss Historic Jonesborough.
Congressman Phil Roe was on hand, along with Sara Diamond from the WJHL television news team. And, of course members of the military and Rolling Thunder making up our color guard for the day.
We have so many pictures from this great weekend, and we will be getting another article up about Jon Pardi soon. You will want to keep up with his latest news, and his show schedule. I also have some news about Brinley Addington to share with all of you, so we’ll be getting another article (with more pictures) up about Brinley soon.
