Do you remember Tim Rushlow? I think we all do! He was that awesome lead singer for the great country group Little Texas. Keeping that in mind, Tim’s new holiday CD might surprise a few of his fans. The title is Tim Rushlow & His Big Band Classic Christmas, and that’s just what it is! We listened to it, we love it, and we aren’t the only ones. Clay Hunnicutt, Exec VP & GM NPP-IHeartMedia said, “If you’re looking for some Holiday cheer, look no further! Tim Rushlow brings it in a BIG way with his BIG band. All your holiday favorites and a few NEW classics that will definitely make you smile, tap your toes, and stir great memories from the first note to the last. An instant classic Holiday record!!”
In the style of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller, and other great Big Band era artists, Tim gives us the following songs on this great, gotta-have-it holiday CD: Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Sleigh Ride, A Soldiers Gift, Rudolph, Jingle Bells, I’ll Be Home For Christmas, Most Wonderful Time of the Year, O Holy Night, What Do I Do With the Blue, Christmas Song, Home For the Holidays, and Edelweiss.
I love this new album. This is going to end up in a lot of homes this holiday season. Below is the press release about the new CD.
Tim Rushlow was the lead vocalist of the Country Supergroup Little Texas which recorded five albums and a greatest hits package on Warner Bros. Records. Tim went on to 3 other major record labels including Atlantic Records, Lyric Street Records, and Show Dog Universal and garnered chart topping hits as a solo artist. Tim has been involved in record sales of over 11 million units and has won CMA awards, ACM awards, and has amassed many various industry award nominations including multiple Grammy award nominations.
Having been a lifetime fan of Jazz and Big Band music, Tim has just completed his first record in the genre with a wide array of legendary side men who have worked with the likes of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Mel Torme, Doc Severinsen, Tower Of Power as well as members of the Nashville Symphony. There is also a very special appearance with Grammy award-winning Saxophonist Branford Marsalis. This new Christmas record is sure to become a household classic for the holidays this year and for years to come. Tim is poised to have great success in this new genre and continued success on his new musical journey.
