For the ninth year, Tracy Lawrence teamed up with Nashville Rescue Mission to cook up 500 turkeys. An event like this takes a lot of volunteers, and a lot of money. Several companies contributed to the event, with Blue Rhino providing propane, LouAna providing the oil and Piedmont Gas donated many of the turkeys.
It requires a lot of volunteers, too. With the help of a lot of volunteers, this was another very successful event. Tracy told a local news team that “It’s probably the best downtown smells all year long.” The turkey dinners were served to the people who live at the mission. Nashville Rescue Mission serves 2,000 meals every day. Tracy wanted the Thanksgiving dinners to be different and special. I agree, fried turkeys are different and special!
Charity events, donations, people going out of their way to help other people always make the holidays more special. Thanks to Tracy, and all of the volunteers, and sponsors, for their dedication to this great event.
