FluEvery now and then, something unplanned happens. When it does, there doesn’t seem to be much you can do about it. We’ve all been there. You know what I mean. “Whatever can go wrong will”.  “If it’s not one thing, it’s another”. Those are the kind of phrases that come to mind.

Last Monday night, after we posted the American Country Countdown Awards, we got a very unwanted visitor here at Country’s Chatter. That visitor, or probably a group of them, came in the form of flu germs! By Tuesday morning, everyone was sick. Visits to the doctor started,. along with TamiFlu, cough syrup, medicines to reduce fever and help with aches and pains, and even an antibiotic – just to help ward off any possibility of pneumonia developing.

We were missed! And, we appreciate the e-mail messages and Tweets asking “Where are you?” We answered what we could, but sitting at the computer was not a priority for anyone over the past six days.

Now, I am happy to report we are definitely on the mend. Close enough to ‘cured’ that our plan is to start posting again Monday (Dec. 22). I know, that’s right in time for us to get a Wednesday “Merry Christmas” article posted, and take off another couple of days. But we will do some catching up with press releases and articles between now and then.

Thanks so much for your patience! You are all so kind. We love our readers, and appreciate you following us for the past seven y ears. We will talk to you more tomorrow!
