We all got to hear a lot of country music, see a lot of our favorite artists, and listen to a lot of acceptance speeches, as the winners were announced at the 50th Academy of Country Music Award show.  And, we loved seeing Randy Travis in the audience! Jim Reeves International Award – Eric Church has been chosen to receive the Jim Reeves International Award, which is presented to an artist for outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music throughout the world. [Source]

Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Lambert, Reba McEntire, George Strait and Taylor Swift all received 50th Anniversary Milestone Awards.

There were a number of Radio Awards given out this year as well. Those were presented on Saturday, April 18, in Arlington. They were given in the categories of National On-Air Personality of the Year; On-Air Personality of the Year-Major Market; On-Air Personality of the Year-Medium Market; On-Air Personality of the Year-Small Market; Radio Station of the Year – Major Market; Radio Station of the Year-Large Market; Radio Station of the Year-Medium Market; and, Radio Station of the Year-Small Market.
