Mary kate FarmerAt just 19 years of age, Mary Kate Farmer isn’t afraid to step out into the already crowded world of country singer/songwriter/musicians. She’s determined to make her mark in in the country music world. We all know that females seem to have a rough go in country-music land. We all know that being female isn’t going to make this an easy journey her. However, we also know that being a very talented female is definitely going to help.

Mary kate and BandA little info from her bio tells us that she has been ‘wowing audiences  throughout the South with her skilled writing and energetic live shows.’ She was raised in San Antonio, Texas, but now calls Woodstock, Ga., her home. Mary Kate started singing when she was four years old, and performed for family and friends whenever she could. When she was 14, her parents bought her an acoustic guitar – that was the start of a new career for Mary Kate. A career that would take her out of her living room, and into festivals, fairs, and other venues where she could perform her original music for crowds.

Mary Kate Farmer 1She has played at many venues, fairs and festivals across the South and has opened for country artists such as Craig Campbell and John King.  She recently completed her debut EP in Nashville Tennessee with two-time  Grammy nominated producer Greg Cole.  She has been a regular on 94.9 The Bulls Backyard country show in Atlanta where Cole Swindell, Luke Bryan, Sugarland and Billy Currington all got their start.

She has a few short audio clips of her songs on her web site, and you will also find some videos on YouTube,  and you will find her songs on ReverbNation as well. I love the song “Sober”.

Mary Kate Farmer 692The press has been kind to Mary Kate, and understandably so. Here is what a few our our publications had to say about this up-and-coming young entertainer:  "Mary Kate Farmer is a very talented Singer/Songwriter that has a very bright future ahead in the music industry. Please check out this amazing Singer/Songwriter by going to one of her official sites."—David Mills – Rocky Coast News   “Snowfest’s first on-stage entertainment, a 30-minute set by San Antonian Mary Kate Farmer”—Jeff B. Flinn – My SA   “Mary Seems to have a lot of enthusiasm and motivation for the music she has created, and we (as supporters of music) support her in everything that she does musically in the present and future”—Halston Williams – Stiforp Savvy

We found a video on YouTube that we wanted to share with you. The song is called “My Type of Man”. Watch her work. It is so obvious she loves what she is doing on stage.  When you enjoy what you do as much as she does, you are going to do it well.
