IMG_7830I live about three hours from Nashville. That isn’t very far. But still, I never seem to get there as often as I would like. So, it is always a real treat when Nashville makes the trip to Northeast Tennessee. That happened again tonight, when Brittany Bexton, along with her guitar player, Parker Daniel, brought Nashville’s music to Elizabethton.

The venue was Jiggy Ray’s. The place is small, but, when you visit you better bring a huge appetite with you.  That is because the only thing that equaled the tremendous talent on stage tonight is the famous food at Jiggy Ray’s. The pizza is more than a local favorite. it is something Brittany and Parker have been raving about since they last performed here this past May.

Brittany opened her show tonight was Bill Monroe’s “Blue Moon Of Kentucky”. That was enough to grab the attention of the capacity crowd. It was attention she held through every song. In case you haven’t already guessed, each song ended to loud applause from an appreciative audience.

IMG_7831In addition to familiar covers like Reba’s “Why Haven’t I Heard from You, Miranda’s “Baggage Claim” and “Kerosene”, and Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush”, Brittany sang many of her original songs for her new-found fans. Her first single was called “Baby Come Back to Bed,” and from the reaction of the crowd, she might want to re-release this one. One of my favorite originals she shared with the audience is “Just Crazy Enough.” Her most recent single, “Free Fall”, and the one she is getting ready to release, “Believe Again” fell in between covers from The Eagles, Kellie Pickler, and Jason Aldean.

She has a lengthy repertoire, a bundle of energy, and a talent you won’t find just anywhere. Brittany is a little jumping bean with one of those huge voices that makes you wonder how something that big can come out of someone that small.  Her vocals could only be described as powerful. she’s fun to watch, and loves what she does.

Brittany is working on her new CD, and has a fundraiser up and running. Learn all about her Believe Again Campaign, and find out how you can help.  You can also learn about the great items she has available to those who donate. Visit her Believe Again Campaign page for more information. IMG_7836Going to close out with a few more photos from tonight’s show.
