Since Country’s Chatter posted its first article, back in February, 2008, we have come across some of country’s most talented up-and-coming artists.  We have found them (or in many cases, they found us) on Twitter, Facebook, via their website, and back at the beginning, on MySpace. Recently, we got a new Twitter follower, his name is Johnny Reed Foley

JRF 4The Twitter info told us he was a Country Music Singer, Songwriter & Musician.  We visited his website. We read, we listened, we were interested, and and we followed him on Twitter.  Then we received a direct message from him that read, “Thank you so much for joining my Twitter family! I’m a new country singer named Johnny Reed Foley! What’s up?”

The answer to that question is easy…. THIS is what’s up!  Your songs, your music, your vocals, your personality, everything about you caught our attention.  We now have a favorite Johnny Reed Foley song. It just happens to be the one that you picked as your favorite song, “Who’s Turning You On”. “Hillbilly Rock” is good, and there’s nothing wrong with “Not Sunny Anymore”.  The covers you did of Eric Church and Jon Pardi are so well done! I think it’s fair to say we were impressed.

JRF 2We don’t do a write-up for every country kid with a guitar who follows us on Twitter, but some of them are very special….Johnny is one of the special ones. And, we thought it was time to share him with anyone who hasn’t yet found him and his music. He is from Sparta, N.C., currently living in Nashville. He’s always been a fan of traditional country music, though his favorites include people like Hank, Jr., and Garth Brooks. There is a show schedule posted on his website, and in addition to playing some of the same stages as our biggest stars, he also did a tour with NASCAR, which put him on stage at many of the country’s biggest tracks.

There is a lot to know about Johnny.  He has a bio on  his website, and some info in the “About” section of his Facebook, but we think the best way to tell you about Johnny is to let him do the telling.  The video below is a great introduction to this rising star, and you get to hear a little of his music in this video, too.

Keep your eye on this one!  Looks like a very bright 2017 ahead for Johnny Reed Foley. In addition to his website, visit his Facebook page, and remember to ‘Like’ it while you are there. He has a lot of pictures on his Instagram, so check those out as well. You will find videos on Facebook, and on YouTube.  And you definitely want to follow this one on Twitter @JohnnyReedFoley.
