You gotta love social media. If we don’t’ hear it on the news first, we can always count on Twitter to get the news out. Yesterday, Blake Shelton put the following Tweet up on his Ole Red (@OleRedNashville) Twitter page.
Thanks to all the news reports, however, we also know that the new bar will be at 300 Lower Broadway, in the building that currently houses Opry Originals. There will be a $20 million renovation to the building, and the plan is for it to include a rooftop bar, a stage for live karaoke, and a restaurant, as well as a space for private events.
Blake is not the owner, but will be the face of the new business, as was announced at a press conference yesterday where Shelton and Colin Reed, the CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties, announced the details. The name of the business is based on Blake’s hit single, Ole Red. Blake is also planning an Ole Red in Tishomingo, Okla. That one is to be going into the building which had housed Miranda Lambert’s former bed and breakfast. He purchased that location from her last year.
Nashville and country singers go hand-in-hand, and it seems you can’t have those two things without adding a third – bars. Dierks Bently will soon be opening Whiskey Row, and Alan Jackson recently opened AJs Good Time Bar.http://www.countryschatter.com/2017/01/ole-red-new-bar-for-blake-shelton-opening-in-nashville-and-oklahoma/NewsAJ's Good time Bar,Alan Jackson, blake shelton, dierks bentley,Nashville,Old Red,Twitter,Whiskey Row
