Waylon JenningsBack in July, 2015, there was a concert.  It was a stage full of country music’s legendary outlaws – and some of the rising superstars of today.  They all came together in Austin, Texas, and did a concert to celebrate the life of Waylon Jennings.  Someone though to record that show. And on April 7, that recording will be released for all of us to enjoy,

Outlaw: Celebrating the music of Waylon Jennings DC/DVD includes concert performances by Chris Stapleton, Shooter Jennings, Jessi Colter, Bobby Bare, Lee Ann Womack, Buddy Miller, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Jamey Johnson, Robert Earl Keen, Kris Kristofferson, Ryan Bingham, Alison Krauss, Toby Keith, Eric Church and Willie Nelson.

Co-music directors on the project were Don Was and Buddy Cannon.  “Waylon Jennings was my friend, brother, and musical soul mate”, said Willie Nelson. “Playing his songs with these incredible artists, is going to be one hell of a concert event.”

CMT will air the two-hour broadcast premiere on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 10 p.m. (ET)
