BrinnWe’ve written about Brinn Black in the past, and now have more news to share with you about this up-and-coming country artist. Brinn recently took time from her very busy schedule to participate in Lyrics on the Lake 2017 Songwriters Festival, held at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia.

The five-day event, held this year from June 14-18, hosted more than 35 performers at over 10 venues, and it was all for a great cause.  In addition to treating fans to an incredible week of entertainment, they were also there to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.  “Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.” [Source]

This year’s festival ended up being the most successful one yet, raising over $60k. Part of the donations came from artists auctioning off prizes (including a guitar that was signed by a majority of the celebs there that went for $35,000alone!)  On a personal note, in recent years, our local CMN fundraisers have been organized by Nashville singer/songwriter Brinley Addington – a Kingsport, Tenn., native and co-writer of Tyler Farr’s new single, “I Should go To Church”.

Mangos-LogoIf any of you folks in Virginia don’t have your July 4th plans made yet, here is some exciting news for you!  Brinn will be at Mango’s Bar & Grill (16430 Booker T Washington Hwy, Moneta, Virginia, VA 24121), for a 7 p.m. show.  If you aren’t familiar with this venue, visit their website – and check out that menu!  From wings and burgers, to shrimp, salmon and awesome seafood, you can’t go wrong – and you won’t leave hungry!  Great food and music from Brinn, too!
