GSPubWe have been fans of Gwen Sebastian since we first saw her perform at a benefit in Nashville, back in February, 2010.  That was long before most of the country had an opportunity to see her on NBC’s The Voice (where she was selected for Blake Shelton’s team, during the Blind Auditions).

Gwen didn’t go as far in the competition as I thought she should have..  But, soon after her time on the show ended, Gwen went out on tour with Blake, and  was featured on Blake’s single, “My Eyes”.  Gwen has stayed busy, touring, writing, and recording, and is about to release a new single called “Cadillac”.(on Aug. 11).

I listened to “Cadillac” tonight, and it’s a great song.  Every time I hear Gwen, I become even more of a fan. For those of you who keep saying, ’we need more females in country music’ – Gwen is one we definitely need. There is nothing about this song that you aren’t going to like.  The lyrics, the melody, and of course, Gwen’s amazing vocals. I hope all of you will get on the phones on Friday (Aug. 11), and started requesting “Cadillac at your favorite country radio station.

Cadillac coverCadillac was written by Gwen, along with Miranda Lambert and April Lewis.  “It’s been a while since I’ve released new music and “Cadillac” best represents the sound of my upcoming album.  I wrote it with Miranda Lambert & April Lewis on a girl’s trip to California.  The lyrics definitely were inspired by the California vibe,” Gwen said.

“It’s Miranda’s first single on another artist and it was April’s first song she’s ever co-written, so we’re all very connected to it,” Gwen added. “Cadillac” is from her forthcoming album Once Upon a Time in the West that will be released in November.  [You can preorder “Cadillac” on iTunes now).

To keep up with the latest news from Gwen, visit her website.  She has a lot of postings on her Facebook page, so you will definitely want to check that out.  Her Instagram and Twitter are both @GwenSebastian.   If you aren’t familiar with her music, head on over to  YouTube, and watch some of her videos.  You will not be disappointed.
