CMAThe 51st annual CMA Award show, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the 10th straight year, again proved to have a funny and entertaining opening.  And, it was obvious from the first musical performance that we were in for a great night.  It was great that they remembered not only the vidtims of violence in this country, but also the victims of the flooding and hurricanes.  And, the tribute to Montgomery Gentry was very well done, and appreciated by all of Troy Gentry’s fans, I’m sure.

The performances by Tim and Faith, Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert alone were worth giving this years show a look.  This was one of the best country music award shows we’ve seen in quite some time.

There you have it.  Another awards show over for this year.  But, for those of you who can’t go very long between awards shows, you have another one coming up soon with the American Music Awards. That will happen on Sunday, Nov. 19, and will be broadcast live on ABC.  As for me, I think I’m just going to sit back, turn on some country music, and start making plans for our 52nd CMA Awards in November 2018.
