The 2018 ACM Awards ceremony is so close and all the fans of country music are looking forward to find out who will win the award this time.
It’s very curious that while some artists have managed to become multiple winners of ACM Award, there are also some singers, who haven’t still got any award though they are extremely talented and workvery hard. Today, we’d like to present you 10 country singers, who haven’t won any Academy of Country Music Award despite much effort and a great number of fans around the country.
Chris Young rose to fame in 2006 after winning “Nashville Star” TV program and releasing his self-titled debut album. The singer has managed to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and has won a CMT Music Award, two American Country Awards and British Country Music Association award.
Chris Young was nominated for the ACM Award seven times, but didn’t win. In 2018, he got one more nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year.
Sam Hunt started his career as a songwriter, but in 2014, he released his studio album “Montevallo”, which broke several chart records. He became the first country artist in 22 years, whose song, “Leave the Night On”, reached the top of three country charts at the same time.
Sam Hunt won many awards, including American Country Countdown Award, American Music Award, ASCAP Country Music Award, CMT Music Award and Music BIZ Award. The singer still hasn’t won any ACM Award despite having five nominations in 2015 and 2017. This year, Hunt’s song “Body Like a Back Road” is nominated for Song of the Year.
Danielle Bradbery became well-known around the country after winning the fourth season of “The Voice” in 2013, when she was only 17 years old. The same year, she released her self-titled album. In 2017, the singer presented her second album “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met”.
Danielle Bradbery hasn’t won any ACM Awards to the date maybe because of her young age. But in 2018, she received her first nomination for Best New Female Artist and has all the chances to win.
Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) , started their way to popularity among country fans in 2013, when they released their debut single “19 You + Me”, which was certified platinum by RIAA. In 2014, the duo released the first album “Where It All Began”.
In 2015, Dan and Shay won ASCAP Country Music Awards and their single “19 You + Me” was called the most performed song. They have had 4 nominations for ACM Awards as the Vocal Duo of the Year and this year, they are in the list of nominees in the same category.
Lee Brice released his debut album “Love Like Crazy” in 2010, previously writing songs for other artists. However, he rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing album “Hard To Love”, which earned the gold certification in the United States
He was nominated for ACM Awards four times in 2011 and 2013. Moreover, Brice was a nominee for CMT Music Awards, CMA Awards and Grammy.
Cassadee Pope became popular in 2012 after she became the winner of season three “The Voice”. In 2013, Pope released her first album “Frame by Frame”, which debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums.
Despite her popularity, Cassadee Pope has never won or got a nomination for ACM Awards. However, she won CMT Music Award and was a nominee for American Country Awards, People’s Choice Awards as well as Grammy.
Hunter Hayes isn’t just a country singer. He is also a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who can play more than 30 instruments. In 2011, he released his self-titled debut album, which was called two-time platinum by RIAA.
Hunter Hayes has been a nominee for ACM Awards five times in 2012 and 2013. However, the singer gained American Country Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Country Music Association Awards, CMT Music Awards, BMI Awards as well as was nominated for Grammy and World Music Awards.
Rosanne Cash is a legend of country music. She rose to fame in 1981 after releasing her second album “Seven Year Ache”. In total, she released 13 studio albums, two of which were certified gold by RIAA.
It’s unbelievable that Rosanne Cash hasn’t got any ACM Award in her career. Though, she managed to win four Grammy awards.
Kip Moore entered the country music arena in 2012, when he released his first album “Up All Night”, which became the best-selling debut album by male in 2012 and 2013 and got the platinum certification by RIAA.
Randy Houser started as a songwriter, and rose to prominence in 2008 after releasing single “Anything Goes” and the album of the same title.
He has never been nominated for ACM Awards, but was a nominee for American Country Awards, CMT Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards.
