This past Tuesday morning, country star Larry Gatlin appeared on Fox & Friends to chat up, The Man in Song, a new biography on the life and music of Johnny Cash. The new book, authored by music journalist and historian John Alexander, is set for release next Monday, April 16. Gatlin, who credits Cash as his mentor, penned the book’s foreword.\
During the show, hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade surprised Gatlin on-set when they welcomed out fellow country singer Billy Dean. With cake in-hand, Dean joined the show to help celebrate the music legend’s upcoming birthday. Gatlin turns 70 on May 2.
