Singer/songwriter Macy Martin performed her “happy and upbeat” (Celeb Secrets) new single, “Take It Now” on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family on Friday (4/20). Marking her debut on national television, Martin participated in a variety of cooking segments and joined actress Holly Robinson Peete, stars of CBS’ Criminal Minds Kirsten Vangsness and Joe Mantegna and others in a hilarious game of “Head’s Up” before taking the stage to perform.
Joined by her producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton) on banjo guitar, Martin shared some great advice she received from Dolly herself with hosts Debbie Matenopolous and Mark Steines and even surprised her mother in Texas with a special “Happy Birthday” shout out.
