Curb Records Country star JERROD NIEMANN hit the field with the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans last night (11/5), saluting American service members with his red-white-and-blue ballad, “Old Glory,” during halftime of the ESPN Monday Night Football game in Arlington, Texas.

Part of the NFL’s annual Salute to Service campaign – a program meant to honor veterans, active duty service members and their families which has raised millions for non-profit partners like the USO (United Service Organization) since 2011 – Niemann’s heartfelt performance brought a moment of solemn serenity to AT&T Stadium and was met with a standing ovation, offering a hand-over-heart thank you to all those who sacrifice in the name of their country.

“We’re here to celebrate the bravest men and women we have in our country,” Niemann stated from the stage. “For the last couple years, we’ve been playing USO tours. To just be a fly on the wall in some of these places has truly changed our lives. We were in Iraq on Christmas hearing stories about babies opening presents while their parents were away…And another guy told me he missed his mom’s funeral. It’s all of these sacrifices and so many more service members make while being on the battlefield. So I wrote a song I’d love to share with you tonight that takes you back all the way to the beginning of this beautiful country and everybody that has sacrificed so much, so this one goes out to you. God bless our military here tonight.”

Already striking a nerve with fans – who have taken to social media with messages like “This song is all heart” and “If this doesn’t give you chills, I don’t know what would” – “Old Glory” launched into the Top 30 on iTunes in October, indicating its organic groundswell of support.

Meanwhile, the track continues to have a deep impact whenever Niemann plays it live, and next up, the hitmaker will perform it on Fox & Friends for Veterans Day Monday (11/12). That same day Niemann will stop Fox News’ The Daily Briefing to chat with host Dana Perino, highlighting the song’s veteran-focused message and his commitment to honoring the nation’s military heroes.

Describing the song as “100% heart, 0% politics,” “Old Glory” was inspired by Niemann’s ongoing support of the USO – including the service members he’s met on multiple USO Tours and the sacrifices they make every day.

Since then Niemann has continued to support the USO, debuting “Old Glory” during the 2017 USO Holiday Tour, competing on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud in honor of the USO, headlining a concert at Fort Hood, Texas, which helped launch USO Fort Hood’s new Connect and Create program, and more.

Niemann will wrap up his year with select tour dates in Mississippi, Ohio, Texas and Michigan.
