MULTI-PLATINUM, 2X Grammy nominees THOMPSON SQUARE will ring in the Christmas season this weekend, on hand at the 96th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C., to perform a classic medley of “Winter Wonderland” and “Let It Snow.” Hosted by Antonio Sabàto Jr., the ceremony will air on Ovation and Reelz at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sunday, December 2.

Co-presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation, the annual ceremony is a cherished American tradition which began in 1923 and takes place on the Ellipse in President’s Park. This year’s event will feature a diverse group of entertainers performing fun renditions of favorite holiday tunes from the 1920s through today, plus the official lighting of the National Christmas Tree – a living Colorado blue spruce from Virginia, which can be seen year round in the park.

Rejoicing in the holiday spirit, Thompson Square will perform alongside Abby Anderson, Anthony Kearns, Dominican Sisters of Mary a.k.a. “Caroling Angels,” Gabby Barrett, John Driskell Hopkins and Joe Gransden, LOCASH, Matthew West, Paul Cardall, Spensha Baker and the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.”

Earlier this holiday season, Keifer and Shawna Thompson released their first children’s book, the precious and colorful TIME TO GET DRESSED. Illustrated by Ana Patankar, it features a sing-able storyline and was pulled straight from the hitmaking family’s real life, inspired by a song Keifer would sing to the duo’s young son as they got ready for their day.

TIME TO GET DRESSED is out now on the duo’s official website. Plus, the book’s “Time To Get Dressed” theme song is also available via www.thompsonsquare.com and all digital retailers.

Thompson Square will continue thrilling audiences on the road from Tennessee to Nevada through December 31, delivering hits such as the 2X-PLATINUM #1 smash “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” the GOLD-certified follow-up, “If I Didn’t Have You,” and new songs from their latest album, MASTERPIECE. Including 11 tracks inspired by their own fairytale romance, the couple continues to perfect their acclaimed vocal blend while exploring sounds like soulful R&B, laid-back reggae and thundering hard rock.
