Country Icon Randy Travis and wife Mary Davis Travis Were Guests of Honor

Country singer-songwriter, James Dupré married his longtime girlfriend, Kelsie Menard on Nov. 17 during a private beach ceremony on the island of Maui.

Dupré spoke of the special occasion, saying “I got to marry my best friend during the most beautiful sunset on the island of Maui. It was simple perfection.”

A few days later, Dupré and his new bride were joined by family, friends, and guests of honor, Country legend Randy Travis and his wife Mary Davis Travis, at a wedding celebration in Lafayette, Louisiana on Nov. 24 at The Abacus; an upscale venue that captures a beautiful blend of old New Orleans integrated with post war 1940’s architecture. During the reception, Dupré and his brother, Ashton Dupré, sang Travis’ hit song, “I Told You So,” in which the entire room joined in. Another highlight of the evening was when the couple came together with Travis to sing another one of his classics, “Forever and Ever, Amen.”

Dupré and Travis became friends when they starred in the 2015 film, “The Price.” Dupré portrays Randy’s son in the film while Randy plays a Country music legend who attempts to make amends with a son he never knew who is an aspiring musician.

About James Dupré: James Dupré was born and raised in Bayou Chicot, Louisiana. The one-time aspiring meteorologist turned paramedic became a YouTube sensation in 2007 upon posting cover videos of country songs. He received an invitation to perform on “Ellen” and, shortly after, released his debut album It’s All Happening in 2010, which charted on Billboard. Most recently, Dupré released his single “Hurt Good” to Country radio. The soul-piercing track spotlights a relationship of deep chemistry that leads to unimaginable feelings and temptation between two individuals. The song, which reached 33 on the MusicRow chart and 45 on the Billboard Indicator chart, served as a follow up to his debut release, “Stoned To Death.” Fans can expect to hear new music from Dupré in the first quarter of 2019.
