Dynamic vocalist and Team Blake Champion of NBC’s “The Voice, Sundance Head, releases his new single, “Close Enough To Walk” to Country radio today. The song, from his STAINED GLASS AND NEON album, out earlier this year and produced by iconic singer/songwriter/producer Dean Dillon, is the second single from the Texas native’s debut release for Dillon’s Wildcatter Records.

“Close Enough To Walk,” which Sundance regards as one of his favorites, was co-written with celebrated songwriter, Bobby Tomberlin and was inspired by something Sundance said during an argument with his wife. She immediately stopped the argument and suggested that he “go write that song.” The grit and sincerity in his voice are apparent as he sings the universally relatable lyric, “You don’t have to drive me crazy, I’m close enough to walk.”

Sun 2Sundance Head was born in Porter, TX. He was the winner of Season 11 of “The Voice” for Team Blake and is noted for his signature Blued-Eyed “Soul Country” and powerhouse voice.  The son of 1965 hit-maker, Roy Head (“Treat Her Right”), Sundance has been singing professionally in front of live audiences, and slinging guitar, since the age of 13. With numerous independent releases under his belt, musical accolades, and a bevy of live shows on the books, Sundance caught the attention of iconic songwriter/producer, Dean Dillon, who subsequently produced STAINED GLASS NEON.   Sundance has to his credit, three #1 singles on the Texas Music Chart. He was also a guest for 14 arena dates on Blake Shelton’s “Doing It To Country Songs Tour,” and toured with Zac Brown Band. The video for Sundance’s debut single “Leave Her Wild” was a World Premiere on CMT last fall.
