deanIf you are all ready for some really good, honest, long over-due country music, you don’t have to wait much longer.  Dean Miller’s new single, “1965” will be available to all digital platforms starting March 20, 2020.

Listening to “1965”  takes me back to a time I remember so well, and it will take younger listeners to a place they’ve never been.  We’ve always been told that a great  country song only needs three chords and a good story.  I don’t know about the chord part, but I can tell you this song has a wonderful story.  Dean has set a chapter of my life to music.  The song is reminding those of us who lived in 1965 of things we might have forgotten, and it is painting a clear picture of those things for people who were not even born then.

Every word, every sentence in those lyrics is memorable.  It’s so well written, and brings to the front of our minds what we had back then, and what we miss about those days.  The lyrics are all worth including in this article, but I’ll just get you thinking with this one. ‘…we’ll go back in time and find the way it used to be, back when country songs were good, and love was wild and free’.

The son of the late and great Roger Miller, Dean will be releasing “1965” to radio on April 6.  He wrote and produced “1965”. This is the title track of the new album, which is coming out on May 15, 2020.

Dean Miller is no stranger to radio — charting multiple singles of his own as well as many country stars recording his music, to include headliners as George Jones, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Jamey Johnson, and many more.

Dean’s childhood was filled with memories of his father and legendary artists like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette… and more.  He grew up to become a hit songwriter, producer, and an award-winning dog trainer to the stars!  He has so many great stories growing up in LA with a famous father.  His new single, “1965,” talks about a simpler time, and well, with everything that is happening in this world, I think we could all use a little nostalgia to help us get through the day.

When he’s not writing, recording, doing live shows or producing young artists, he pursues his other great passion: dog training. As an official trainer for the Tennessee SPCA and recipient of Nashville Paw Magazine’s Best Trainer award, Miller has helped Sheryl Crow, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Emmylou Harris and Kenny Chesney, among other clients, enjoy happier home lives with their furry friends. Additionally, this service reinforces Miller’s commitment to do only work that has meaning for him.

Roger Miller: Country Music Hall of Fame member Roger Miller is widely regarded as one of the most multifaceted talents that country music has ever seen. Roger left an astonishing legacy of musical depth and range with hits like “King of the Road,” “Engine Engine #9,” “Kansas City Star,” “Dang Me,” “England Swings,” and “Do-Wacka-Do.” With eleven GRAMMY® Awards across multiple genres and a Tony® Award for best score of the 1985 Broadway musical Big River, this singer-songwriter, actor, composer, and honky-tonk man’s legacy will live on forever.
