It’s hard to believe that six years has passed since Mo Pitney released his debut single, “Country”.  I remember how even radio stations who bill themselves as playing ‘Today’s Country’ welcomed this song to their playlist.  One local on-air personality told me that Mo was long over due on the country music scene.

I stayed a big fan of Mo Pitney through his releases of “Boy And A Girl Thing,” “Come Do A Little Life,” and my personal favorite, “It’s Just a Dog”.  Mo has just released another video, for his latest single, “Mattress On The Floor”.

Mo grew up in Cherry Valley, IL with a love for the outdoors and the simple things in life. He was encouraged to move to Nashville by a songwriting friend, and soon after arriving he received early interest from labels quickly signing ith Curb. Mo Pitney’s music is genuine and honest to life garnering him appreciation and acclaim whenever he performs.

Perhaps the most apparent example of this was the minute long standing ovation he received after his Grand Ole Opry Debut. Pitney has been named to multiple “Artist To Watch” lists including Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Huffington Post, and Spotify. His music has 21.2 million on demand streams to date, and his music has been featured on Netlfix’s The Ranch.

“Mattress On The Floor” is the new single from his upcoming album release Ain’t Lookin’ Back. The new album, due in August, features 7 songs co-written by Pitney and was produced by Jim “Moose” Brown.
