AlyssaRising Nashville star Alyssa Trahan is a triple threat, writing, engineering and performing recent singles like “My Favorite Song,” “Blue Fire” and “Memories Not Dreams.”

Multi-instrumentalist Trahan is Breedlove Guitars’ Featured Artist for June. A longtime Breedlove player, she has recently joined forces with the Organic Collection of sustainably sourced, surprisingly affordable, all solid wood acoustic electric instruments.

Trahan, whose work has been featured in films and commercials, is in league with Breedlove’s philosophy of saving the planet one guitar at a time.

“What Breedlove is doing is amazing. The guitar is such a huge part of my life, and the fact that my Organic Companion is sustainably sourced and not contributing to the decline of the world’s forests makes it sound even sweeter. Breedlove is a real leader on this,” says Trahan.

On June 12, Trahan will release “Ain’t Ever Goin’ Back” with the single being premiered, fittingly, by GuitarGirlMag.com. In addition to playing virtually every instrument on the track, Trahan also created the accompanying video, exhibiting a savvy sense of Music City artistic control.

Trahan is a leader in other ways as well. Through her “Girls on the Rise” multi-artist charity events—inspired by her revelatory “Because I am a Girl”—she has raised funds for the adolescent health and fitness organization Girls on the Run of Middle Tennessee, while also raising awareness for women in country music. Many of Trahan’s other tunes, including “I Like It” and the winking, lighthearted “Pickle Jar,” are aimed at empowerment as well.

“I’m so proud that a song I wrote out of a place of emotion and frustration with equality issues, specifically for women in country music, ended up, incredibly, supporting a charity and all these other female artists.”

As Breedlove’s Featured Artist, Trahan will participate in a series of social media takeovers, perform regular live streams throughout the month and show another side of her rich personality with weekly organic recipe blog posts themed to original songs.
