DNAll of our regular readers here at Country’s Chatter know the name Derek Norsworthy.  He first came to our attention back in March of 2019, and we had a number of articles posted about him since then.

You might remember some of his music on Sporify and YouTube, and his Facebook page, as well as other spots on the internet.  But now, for the first time, you just might be hearing Derek Norsworthy on the radio.  He has just released  his first radio single, titled “Neighbors Talkin'”.

A while back, Derek announced the release of the song on his social media, sneding this message out to fans, followers and radio folks throughout the world. “Huge thanks to ALL of the incredible radio stations who took a chance and added Neighbors Talkin’ to rotation this week! It’s my FIRST radio single and I’m very blessed for so many to believe in the song!!”

When we spoke to Derek earlier today, he told us the song was co-written by him and George Cumbest.  “The song is currently playing on a number of US stations and making waves in the Australian radio market,” Derek said.  “We are also starting to target the UK with it now,” he told us. The song is currently on Spotify, and Derek said they are continuing work on add to major playlist on Pandora, Apple Music, etc. The writers and myself and George Cumbest. Derek describes himself as a ‘new age artist influenced by the liks of Country, Rock-N-Roll, Pop, Mowtown and Blues’. All that to create a new hybrid sound in music.  When you listen to Derek’s music, you will know right away taht his description is accurate, and his music is the perfect blend of every genra that was an influence to him.

This talented singer/songwriter is from southern Mississippi. He has toured extensively throguh the southeastern region of the United States, opening for headliners such as Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Frankie Ballard, Thompson Square, Parmalee, Dustin Lynch, Brantley Gilbert, Charlie Daniels, 3 Doors Down and Alabama, to name a few.
