Taylor movie And while we’re talking about Valentine’s Day, and about Taylor Swift, remember the movie that she has a small part in, “Valentine’s Day,” will be released on Feb. 12. That looks like a really good movie – along with Taylor, you’ll see Julia Roberts, Taylor Lautner, Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, George Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, and a lot of others! You can read the whole cast here.

This is another one on my list. It seems the older I get, the more I enjoy a movie on the weekend.  Have you seen any of the movie trailers for “Valentine’s Day?”  Here’s one of the many places you can go to see a trailer, and it’s one of the ones I like the best.

I’m about to start a really busy day – the first of what is probably going to be a very busy week! I’ll talk to you guys soon, and answer your mail just as quickly as I can. You have a good Monday!

Later, guys!

taylor_swift_on_valentines_day_set_in_l_a__-_july_30_2009_7 Taylor Swift will be making her feature motion picture debut in the film “Valentine’s Day”. I’m not sure how much of a role she will have, but it’s a motion picture debut just the same.

She will also be singing two songs on the soundtrack, too. “Today Was a Fairytale,’ can be heard in a new featurette on the film, and “Jump Then Fall” was included on Taylor’s “Fearless: Platinum Edition” CD.

taylor-lautner-taylor-swift-valentines-day Other actors in the movie are Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Foxx, and Taylor Lautner. We’ve also heard recently that Swift and Lautner are no longer an “item.”  Us Magazine said that after three months of dating, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have split. “It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends," a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. "There was no chemistry."

Here’s the movie trailer.

Valentine’s Day will open in theaters on Feb. 12, 2010 -  Dinner and a movie definitely sounds like a plan to me.

Time to head out of here. Hope you all have a great Thursday. Tomorrow is a  holiday! No going to the office for me! Talk to you all soon!

Billy Ray 1 - Copy Billy Ray'The Rachel Ray Show on Friday, Dec. 11, his Hallmark Channel movie premiering on Saturday, Dec. 12, and today, Sunday, Dec. 13, Billy Ray Cyrus is leaving for Iraq, to help bring a little holiday cheer to our troops. He’s certainly keeping busy.

Billy talked to PEOPLE about the upcoming overseas trip. "I leave for Iraq on Dec. 13, and I’ll try to spread a little Christmas cheer to our troops," he tells PEOPLE. "Then I’ll go meet the family in England around Christmas Eve. Miley is touring over there. I’d rather be in Tennessee, but I don’t think it’s a matter of where you’re at — it’s who you’re with." I definitely agree with that.

Billy Ray movie Billy Ray’s movie, Christmas in Canaan, premiered on the Hallmark Channel last night. And I’m sure it will be on again between now and Christmas. The movie tells the story of two young boys, one black and one white, who overcome their racial animosity while they are caring for an injured dog. Kenny Rogers wrote the story in 2002, and the screenplay was co-written by Rogers and Donald Davenport.

Here’s an interview Billy Ray did with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning. The interview was Friday, the same day Billy appeared on Rachel Ray’s television show. He talks about the Hallmark movie, and a little about his trip to Iraq. And, as you might guess, he can’t get through an interview without being asked about Miley.

I better run – I have a lot of plans for today! Going to church, then to the grocery store, then I have this little mountain of laundry that really needs to be done, and of course, I’m still trying to get my Christmas tree up and decorated — so if I manage to finish half of all that before I climb back in bed tonight it will have been a very good day.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday. I probably won’t get any e-mail answered today, but I should be able to do that Monday evening. I’ll talk to you all real soon!

Dec 3

tim-mcgraw This past weekend I went to see The Blind Side – a movie I have been waiting for since I started writing about it last April, when they started filming. And then I wrote about it in August, when the movie trailers were released. I couldn’t wait to see it – and that one definitely lived up to my expectations.

It’s a great movie, based on a great book – and it’s just such a good story – I think everyone needs to go see it. Now, it appears that one of the Blind Side actors is on his way to a new production. Of course I’m talking about Tim McGraw.

Gwyn P Movieweb, and just about everyone else, has been talking about the movie Love Don’t Let Me Down, which is scheduled to begin filming in Nashville in January, 2010.

the article at Movieweb says, “Writer/director Shane Feste has nabbed Gwyneth Paltrow and country superstar Tim McGraw for her upcoming Nashville-based drama Love Don’t Let Me Down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester are also set to star in the project, which Tobey Maguire and Jenno Topping are producing through their Maguire Entertainment banner.”

Somehow, I don’t think this one is going to be quite the story that The Blind Side was – but here’s the plot, from Movieweb: Hedlund plays a young rising singer-songwriter who becomes involved with a fallen country singer played by Paltrow. They embark on a career resurrection tour with her husband-manager (McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Meester). Romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.

I’m always amazed at how quickly a movie can be made. I remember when they started shooting The Blind Side, and I kept wondering how Tim was going to fit that in to his concert schedule. I’m wondering the same thing again now – the new movie starts filming in January, and Tim’s got a tour starting in February. You can get the full schedule on his web site. But, I’m not worried – after seeing The Blind Side (for the first of many times), I know it can be done.

In case you missed David Letterman’s show on Oct. 16, here’s Tim’s appearance on that show.

I better run. I have a lot to do today, and yes, I owe a few of you e-mail … I’ll do my very best to get to that tonight. You guys have a great Thursday!

Talk to you soon,
Country

Nov 14

Blind Tim I’ve been waiting for quite a while for the release of The Blind Side, the new movie with Tim McGraw and Sandra Bullock. I first heard about it way back in April, and put a post up then. I heard more about it in August, and that was when we started seeing movie trailers and hearing exactly what this movie is about. You can click here to read the August 9 post. (All photos by Rick Diamond/Getty Images)

Blind faith family We may have to wait another week to see the movie, but it has already made it’s big premier, and a lot of our favorite country artists were in the audience. The movie premier as on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Regal Green Hills 16 cinema in Nashville.

Martina McBride, Julianne Hough, Barbara Mandrell, Kix Brooks, Lady Antebellum, Rodney Adkins, Randy Travis,Clay Walker, Rodney Adkins,  Heidi Newfield, and Wynonna were among the country artists in attendance. Wynonna sent out a twitter while she was watching the movie and said “I hv alredy cried twice…This movie is wonderful so far. U hv2 go see it…”

Blind Lady A Also at the premier were Tennessee Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, and Sean and Leigh Anne Tuchy and their daughter. (The family the movie is about).

In a report on CMT News, Tim said “We’ve always known Nashville was a great town. We love this town, we love the community and we love the people here. For this many friends – friends from our kids’ school, friends from our neighborhood, everyday friends of ours, and all the industry people who are our friends – to show up to support this is a pretty cool thing.”

This movie, I’m sure, will be one that I watch more than once. You can see move photos from the Nashville premier at the CMT News site, and if you haven’t see the trailer, or would like to see it again … Here you go.

I have a very busy day ahead of me. I’m about to head out to breakfast, then to about six stores in Johnson City, to pick up an item or two here and there, and then I’m headed to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for a little more shopping. Those are two great tourist towns, and as most of you know, Pigeon Forge is the home of Dollywood – which is getting totally decked out for the holiday season … but that’s another article altogether.

I’ll talk to you real soon. Appreciate the mail, and thanks to all of you who are now following Country’s Chatter on Facebook and Twitter.
Later!
