Not that long ago, I would not have believed anyone who said, “Tim McGraw will not be nominated for an ACM Award in 2008.” But, they would have been right. While Tim McGraw is still at the top of his game, having the ability to push out one hit after the next, and sell out concerts everywhere … somehow, he missed getting nominated for anything this year. But he certainly isn’t alone. (Thanks Brittany for the great photo of Tim taken in Rogersville, TN).
Also on this year’s list of “non-nominated” is Tim’s wife, Faith Hill. Faith has already announced that she will be a part of the CMA Festival in Nashville this June. Faith will be performing at the event for the first time in 10 years. I’m sure fans will be looking forward to having her back.
Dwight Yoakam is scheduled to make his first appearance at the festival since 1988. Other entertainers scheduled to perform include Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Josh Turner, Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Rodney Adkins… and many others.

Talk to you guys tomorrow!

When was Tim in Rogersville?! Dang! I didn’t even notice he wasn’t nominated for anything (all my attention is on Carrie of course!). But that is surprising. He’s always been and always will be a great artist, songwriter and performer.
Hi Stephanie… Tim McGraw was in Rogersville two years ago. He did a benefit for the American Cancer Society at Rogersville Middle School. This past year, Vince Gill was in Rogersville to raise money for the same charity. The country music events in Rogersville are scheduled for Hawkins County residents first … but if there are tickets remaining, they do open the event to anyone from anywhere.
As for Tim not getting nominated for anything at the CMA’s this year, I agree with you. He’s a great artist. Appreciate your comment.
