ABC News reported that Kenny Chesney got his foot caught between the stage and some rigging, just as he was about to begin his first stadium show of the Pirates & Poets tour in Columbia, S.C. Friday night, April 25.
He was to enter a stage set in the center of the crowd, via an elevator lift. While his band played the opening of “Live Those Songs,” his foot became lodged between the stage floor and the lift. Kenny managed to free his foot and get up and sing.
Kenny didn’t say anything was wrong when he was on stage, but it was reported that he was limping on the stage during the performance. His boot had to be cut off to treat his injury. But no details on the injury have been released.
I think it’s great Kenny was willing to go on, in spite of the hurt foot, and not disappoint 45,000 fans at the stadium show.
Hope to hear from all you guys soon. Drop me an e-mail or post a comment. More later!

Now that is one dedicated performer. Wishing Kenny a very speedy recovery–working with a banged-up foot is no fun. (I’ve been there–ouch.) Take care!
Hi Winnie,
Nice hearing from you! Hope all is well in your part of the country. You’re right about Kenny, from what I understand, he didn’t even delay the strat of the show – he just went right on.
Sorry I haven’t had anything new up for a few days. tomorrow night is the big Jason Aldean/Lady Antebellum concert in Bristol. We’ll get something up after that for sure! I’ve just been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to work on this blog the way I like to.
But… I do appreciate everyone who has been sending e-mail or comments. And I’ll have a new post up soon!
Love you guys,
